IMG_9402I would like to welcome you to Project K-9 Hero’s second newsletter and blog post. First, I want take a moment to recognize the fallen Soldiers, Marines, Airman, and Sailors for their selfless dedication to this nation and let them know they may be gone but they will never be forgotten. I also would like to recognize the families of those who have given their life for our freedom and the continued sacrifice they make as they try to live life without their own individual heroes.

As I had previously mentioned Project K-9 Hero has released its very own line of merchandise available as a gift for individual donations. We have started with two versions of high quality caps featuring our full color and subdued Project K-9 Hero logo. As of today, through the next several weeks they will be featured on our website as a gift for any donation of $50 or more. After we have received enough pre-orders, we will submit the order by mid-July and ship them out to each individual donor.

I am still trying to make our Project K-9 Hero children’s book come to life. Like I have stated, I have already written the book and secured a publishing contract with a major book company. Now I am just waiting to raise the funds to complete the book so we can put 100% of all proceeds from the book back to our goal of taking care of our retired Police K-9 Heroes. If you know of any major corporate sponsors who would like to help us out with our children’s book, the overall cost is going to be $5,750.00 which gets us 1000 hard back and fully illustrated books in which we would own 100% of. As soon as we can secure the funding, the books will be available on our website for donation and at major bookstores across America to include online at such places like Amazon. Should we not see any development with some of our corporate sponsors, I am looking into starting a kick starter campaign to help us reach our fund-raising goals so we can get the book to publishing.

Yesterday, K-9 Flash came out of retirement to do a public demonstration for a group of children and adults at the Sylvan Lake Community Center, in SE Michigan. It has been three years since K-9 Flash has done any narcotics detection but she performed well in the demonstration and received lots of attention from all of the children and future K-9 Handlers we had in attendance. I gave our very first Project K-9 Hero television interview which should be airing sometime this week. As soon as I get the link, I will be sure to post it on all of our media sites for those of you who would like to watch it. I would like to thank the Sylvan Lake, MI Police Department for having me and their generous donation to our foundation along with all of the other great people we met at the event.

I have received a lot of great feedback on the start-up Project K-9 Hero and I would like to say that none of this would be possible without each of you taking the time to read this article. Thank you again for all of your support and in helping me protect those who have protected us.
