Please Welcome MPC Gabber!
Please welcome Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) “Gabber” to our Project K-9 Hero Pack as our 279th program member! MPC Gabber served for three and a half years with the U.S. Army’s 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
MPC Gabber's service was instrumental in the 2nd Ranger Battalion “War Dog Program.” MPC Gabber traveled all across the country conducting Special Operation training missions ranging from raids to Vietnam Era style Scouting increasing the lethality and preparation of the Ranger Dog Program.
MPC Gabber was utilized in training supporting a multitude of Special Operations entities performing Fast Rope Insertion (FRIES), Rappelling, Hoisting, Long Distance Movements, Raids, Scouting, Tracking, and Explosive Detection.
Throughout Gabber's career, he has worked with top tier organizations within the Department of Defense, as well as high-level government agencies from outside the DoD, undoubtedly elevating the effectiveness of K-9 teams enterprise-wide. MPC Gabber's service has been dedicated to enabling combat teams globally.
MPC Gabber spent his final six months of service battling Immune-Mediated Polyarthropathy (IMPA) in his legs and hips, likely due to the aggressive nature of the Special Operations MPC lifestyle. This condition occurs when immune complexes accumulate within the joint space, resulting in inflammation. Immune complexes are made up of antigens bound to antibodies. In September of 2023, MPC Gabber was medically retired to his handler due to his condition.
MPC Gabber has served our country with distinction, and due to his special medical needs, along with the financial burden that has been placed on his active-duty handler, we are honored to accept MPC Gabber into our program so we can cover all future office visits, diagnostic testing, prescriptions, and surgeries at 100%, for the rest of his life.
Please welcome MPC Gabber into our PK9H Pack. It is an absolute honor to serve another Hero from the United States Army Rangers!
